Greetings and grace to you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
After several years of searching for land or a building, we have found a church building. It is located in the Mt. Olive community at 5535 Shady Grove Road. It presently stands empty and is move-in ready.
The selling price is $300,000.00 and the property comes with a small house located just next door. While the current owners have maintained the facilities well, some upgrades and changes will be desired. We are presently trying to estimate the costs of these changes.
During the pandemic, the Lord has been faithful through your giving. Redeemer has maintained about an $80,000.00 balance, while continuing to pay our normal month to month expenditures. We plan to use a portion of this money for the down payment while raising additional monies.
This is where we need you, the Redeemer family, and supporters. Would you consider making a generous love offering to our building fund? Having our own building will allow us a place to meet weekly on Sundays for worship, providing a space for Sunday School, nursery, fellowships, and gatherings that our current space does not readily allow. This would also allow us to use monthly rental fees towards purchasing and maintaining property that is our own.
We need a down payment of $60,000-$80,000.00 and approximately $25,000.00 for changes and church furnishings. Repairs that are being considered include replacing the carpet and adding some lighting in the sanctuary. In addition, we will need to purchase some church furnishings (tables, nursery supplies, etc.)
Would you prayerfully consider making a sacrificial offering over the next weeks and/or months? No gift is too small as we trust the Lord through this process.
